A military site from the 12th century onward, the Sédaiges castle was in the middle of the Franco - English conflicts that raged in medieval Auvergne.

Rebuilt as a fortress in the 15th century and extensively decorated in the 18th, this impressive chateau is also a unique example of the Troubadour architecture of the 19th century.
